One Child,
One Future

A programme committed to the education and future of the most vulnerable children in the Great Lakes region.

One Child One Future

The One Child, One Future programme

In a region marked by decades of conflict, access to education remains a major challenge for thousands of children in Goma and North Kivu. One Child, One Future is Glomeec's social initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty through education.

Convinced that every child deserves an equal chance, Glomeec mobilises its resources, network and partners to give disadvantaged children the means to build their future.

Our objectives

  • Ensure the schooling of children from disadvantaged families or those affected by conflict.
  • Provide school supplies (exercise books, pens, uniforms, bags) to beneficiary pupils.
  • Pay school fees for children identified in partnership with local schools.
  • Support children in difficulty with tutoring and revision sessions.
  • Raise community awareness about the importance of education, especially for girls.

How does the programme work?

  1. Identifying beneficiaries: In collaboration with schools, local authorities and community organisations, we identify the most vulnerable children.
  2. Sponsorship: Companies, individuals and institutions sponsor one or more children for a full school year.
  3. Academic monitoring: Each beneficiary is monitored throughout the year to ensure their attendance, progress and wellbeing.
  4. Distributing kits: At the start of term and during the year, complete school kits are given to children.
  5. Transparency report: Sponsors receive regular reports on the use of funds and children's progress.
